Sri Lankan close-ended fund opens trading
Oct 12, 2009 (LBO) – Sri Lanka's first ever close-ended fund, the NAMAL Acuity Venture Fund (NAVF) opened trading at 57 rupees today, brokers said.
On October 09, 2009 the fund in a stock exchange filing said, its net asset value of 50.62 rupees per unit.

The fund was trading between 55 to 70 rupees, with 26,500 units changing hands by mid-morning trade despite few trades taking place at 70 rupees, brokers said.

NAVF units were offered at 50 rupees per unit at the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of which 10,751,200 units were subscribed by investors.

NAVF issued 10 million units priced at 50 rupees each in the IPO, but offered a further 10 million units in the event of the IPO being oversubscribed.
