Lanka Bell offers call conferencing
Sept 03, 2009 (LBO) - Sri Lanka's wireless access provider Lanka Bell is offering a call conferencing facility, where callers from any network and internet calling applications can be connected.
"With the introduction of this new feature, a Lanka Bell phone can become an important business tool that helps organizations to increase efficiency, improve productivity and reduce communication costs," Lanka Bell managing director Prasad Samarasinghe said in a statement.

"For example this facility will enable organizations to conduct their weekly meetings via a teleconference, saving time and other costs. Communication between multiple branches of an organisation can also happen faster and more effectively."

Foreign participants could also be connected.

"Lanka Bell’s IDD calling rates are among the lowest in the island and we also offer a value added service that pays back subscribers 50 cents for every minute of incoming IDD calls," Samarasinghe said.

The call conference facility can also be used by home subscribers to be in touch with loved ones who are living in different parts of Sri Lanka or the world.
